The emphasis of my site is to have fun celebrating the pug breed! If you already own a pug, submit a photo of your pug in our monthly Pug Photo Contest! I've set up a Pug Fun page that has fun pug facts and a coloring contest for children. It also includes free pug graphics that I've created. If you use my pug art, all I ask is that you'd link me to your site. Pug News is a blog where you can stay up-to-date on my pugs and dog related news. My Links page will take you to some of my favorite pug websites. I also want to give you information regarding my pugs, available pug puppies, and my breeding program. I want to inform you on the pug dog and help you decide if the pug breed is right for your family. My Q & A section is full of questions, I frequently receive, and my answers to them. Feel free to contact me with any questions you have. In brief, you should know the following about me: I have had one or more pugs for the past 22 years of my life. That makes me sound older than what I feel! When I was eight, I was given my first dog, a fawn pug puppy. If you've ever owned a pug, you know, once you've had one you are totally stuck on the pug puppy love! I started breeding pugs in 2002. After a few years of breeding pet quality, I just wasn't pleased with the quality of pugs I was producing. So I added to our family my first AKC show prospect pug. Since then I've had only a handful of show prospect litters; but I am very pleased with the personality of my pugs, the physical aspects of them, and their overall health. I now have one male: BoBo. I also have five females: Rhoda, Yana, Orsa, Nixie, and Larky. They are all very much loved by my family and me! I raise fawn pugs and black pugs that are registered with the American Kennel Club. I only breed pugs that are show prospects. If you are not interested in showing, my pug puppies make wonderful pug children for your family. Occasionally, I have pug puppies for sale throughout the year. Due to our kind handling of my pugs and the fact that they are raised with children, they make wonderful family dogs. We put many hours into these precious pugs and insure that they are loved from birth. A bit about my "human" family: Darin and I have been married for 7 years. We have two beautiful children. Bjorn, our son, is six years old. He is in an all boys gymnastics club. And he can't get enough of computer games! He’ll even skip meals - hunger has no influence over this desire! Meara is 18 months old and quite the dare devil! If she’s not coming up with her own crazy ideas, she only watches Bjorn long enough to figure out how he does the things he does - then she does them!! Darin moved, to Minnesota, from Pennsylvania, but now considers Minnesota his home. He works as a welder for Scott Equipment Company in Arlington, MN. Being a Jack-of-all-trades, he has designed and built many wonderful tools and machines. He does seasonal field work, but has no desire to take farm life on full time. In his free time Lonny(my dad) and he have many projects going. Their new one is making beer. They work well together - Lonny has the money and Darin makes it happen! I have the best job ever! I am a stay-at-home mom and homeschool teacher! Some days can be challenging, but I wouldn't ask for a different life. Everyday I learn how to love. I went to college for advertising and graphic design. I freelance on the side. I enjoy photography as a hobby. My favorite objects to photograph are my children. I enjoy loom knitting and coming up with my own patterns. Healthy living is something I strive for. I have fun making milk and water kefir and developing recipes. Gardening is a passion of mine! I will propagate anything I can - pineapple heads and avocado pits are some of my adventures. I flower garden to attract hummingbirds and butterflies. I've spent many hours learning about exotic and common plants. I enjoy buying and trading plants and seeds on ebay and garden sites. In the winter, my bird feeders attract the Minnesota winter birds, squirrels, and rabbits. I find pleasure in being surrounded by nature. We are located about 1 hour west of Minneapolis in Glencoe, Minnesota. If there is something, pug related, you would like to see featured on my website, let me know! |
